Important news in the world of crypto gaming, the NFT platform Immutable has just completed a fundraising of 200 million dollarsbringing its valuation to 2.5 billion dollars. These funds will be used for the development of the platform, but more importantly, a large part of this capital will be invested in NFT gamesincluding the much anticipated Guild of Guardians.
Immutable: the Australian start-up in full expansion
New investors are now betting on the NFTs market in view of their development potential. Immutable realized this fundraising of 200 million dollars in series C. This funding campaign works for companies already in place whose product is already working well. Immutable is known for publishing large scale blockchain games like the famous Trading Card Game Gods Unchained that we don't present anymore, and soon, Guild of Guardiansscheduled for 2022.
The fundraising was organized by Temasek, a Singaporean investment company. Among the investors, we find a big name in mobile gaming who enters the capital, the Chinese giant Tencent Holdings (the owner of Riot Games).
Immutable plans to employ 200 people in the next 12 months, which will more than double their current staff.
200 million to be invested in NFT games including GoG
You know it, Guild of Guardians is a Play to Earn that we follow closely (he is also part of the list of blockchain games to follow this year). GoG is the promise of a Diablo like RPG, on mobile and free to play. And of course, developed by the Australian company Immutable. The latter is also behind Immutable X, the layer 2 of the blockchain Ethereum. Immutable X was created specifically for NFTs and its huge advantage is that it offers extremely low gas fees (compared to blockchain Ethereum).
A large part of this fundraising will be injected into Guild of Guardians. This will allow them to set up marketing campaigns, to accelerate the development of the game by recruiting great profiles. This is great news for the game which will be able to survive a potential bear market thanks to this capital. This means that Immutable is actively recruiting on both the Gods Unchained and Guild of Guardians projects.
