The competition Next Top Metaverse Build is designed to challenge architects, designers and 3D developers to create virtual infrastructures in categories such as buildings, museums, NFT galleries, casinos, etc. As such, the competition buildathon will be a great way for designers and creators having fun on The Sandbox to showcase and demonstrate their design skills.
How does the competition work?
The Sandbox does not only participate in the The Next Top Metaverse Build contest. They are also donating tokens SAND worth US$100,000 to the event, becoming one of the competition's partners among other big names in the industry.
One of our goals is to support the next generation of metaverse entrepreneurs. By joining The Next Top Metaverse Build competition, we are not only improving the skills of our designers, but are encouraging the metaverse ecosystem as a whole to up its game.

Registration is now open and you can register, alone or in a team, and turn in your project until March 31, 2022. Detailed tutorials and information about the competition are available on the website of Next Top Metaverse Build.
The jury will make its selection during the first week of April and the finalists will have to make presentations of their virtual creation between April 8 and 10.
What are the prizes for the Buildathon?
Participants will be competing to win a number of prizes. These include:
- Up to 50,000 $s of tokens Renovi (RNVI),
- a plot of land donated by the Decentraland Foundation,
- 100,000 $ of tokens SAND,
- Subscriptions to design tools and other key software.
In addition, all projects uploaded to the marketplace will be available for purchase and proceeds will be donated to the participants.
The contest winners will be chosen by judges and sponsors made up of leading figures in the architecture, design and crypto-currency industries.
Who is organizing The Next Top Metaverse Build?
The competition is organized by GDA Capitala leading digital asset company, and Renovithe first marketplace created for architects, 3D designers and developers.
Other industry leaders entered in the buildathon competition include Decentraland, the largest open source 3D virtual world platform, and Metaverse Group, an investment company in metaverse that focuses on virtual real estate. Mentors and sponsors from these organizations will actively participate in the competition.
